Opening Address and Opening Dinner
(Included in the registration fees of all registrants)
Date:  Sunday, August 31
Time:  19:00 - 22:00 (Pre-Dinner Cocktail Reception starts at 18:30)
Venue: Grand Ballroom, Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong
Dress Code: Jacket and Tie

Delegates are invited to attend the Opening Dinner.  Prof. Allan Meltzer, President of the Mont Pelerin Society, will deliver an Opening Address at the dinner.  To welcome our overseas guests, traditional Chinese banquet and elegant wines will be served.  Enjoy the evening with friends and colleagues in a relaxed environment.



Excursion to Macau

Due to limited seating capacity, Excursion to Macau is subject to seat availability for delegates and their accompanying persons (if any) registered after July 25.

Time:  07:00 - 20:00
Dress Code: Smart Casual (Walking shoes)
*You are advised not to wear shorts and sandals.
Transportation will be provided.

Same as Hong Kong, Macau is a place where the East meets West. In this tour, you will be shown the charm of the Chinese and Portuguese heritages embraced in arrays of modernized architecture. Upon arrival at Macau, sightseeing tour begins with certain World Heritages including Na Tcha Temple, Section of the Old City Walls, Mount Fortress, Ruins of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church (the landmark of Macau), Temple of A-Ma and Museum of Macau.  The Roman Catholic Church was built in 1602 and burned by fire in 1835. Miraculously, fine art of carvings and statues can be seen on the surviving facade.

Harbor Cruise and Closing Dinner

Due to limited seating capacity, Closing Harbor Cruise and Dinner is subject to seat availability for delegates and their accompanying persons (if any) registered after August 15.

Date:  Friday, September 5
Time:  18:00 - 22:00 (Depart for the harbor cruise at 17:30)
Venue: Seafood Restaurant, Lamma Island
Dress Code: Smart Casual
Assembly Place: Foyer of the Grand Ballroom, Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong
Transportation will be provided.

Take a cruise on a balmy evening and enjoy the spectacular night views of Hong Kong Harbor.  Arrive at Lamma Island for a brief walk ashore and a marvellous seafood dinner at a famous restaurant serving the juiciest prawns, scallops and locally sourced fish, complemented by unlimited soft drinks and beers.  Freshness is guaranteed and all you need is a good appetite.
